Reporting to the School Business Manager, you will work in a team of two Administrators, supported by an Administrative Assistant. You will deal with the day to day finances of Uffculme School and Uffculme Primary School and act as the first point of contact for all school finance queries. The work is varied and will include overseeing ordering for the school, raising invoices and journals, as well as payroll entry and reconciliation. You will work with the MAT Central Finance Team to ensure that all school income and expenditure is allocated to the correct cost centres and resolve any queries that may arise. You will also be involved with HR processes including recruitment, pre-employment checks and absence management.
We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, enthusiastic and confident in communicating effectively with a wide range of people. You will play an instrumental role in the day to day running of the Business Support Office as well as providing support to the School Business Manager. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in developing a career as a School Business Professional.
You will be the first point of contact for all enquiries and requests regarding finance and HR for the school and should have excellent communication skills, be flexible, adaptable and be able to prioritise tasks. The role will require both independent working and the ability to be a team player.

We can offer a competitive salary, a Local Government pension, free onsite parking, and discounted membership at our onsite gym. We are supportive of learning and development and encourage our staff to broaden their skills and knowledge and encourage continuous CPD.
If you are looking for a varied administration role in a supportive organisation, then we would love to hear from you.
