We currently have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Head of Learning Support to join our team. 

Job overview

As the Head of Learning Support, you will oversee the smooth running of the Learning Support Base (LSB), ensuring effective provision for pupils with additional needs. To utilise and analyse intervention data for early identification of need and to coordinate, implement and monitor a timetable of appropriate, meaningful interventions that support pupils in accessing learning and making progress.

Job requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum
  • GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN and utilising strategies to and meet needs, including supporting speech and language
  • Awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision, including working with outside agencies to deliver EHCP provisions
  • Ability to effectively communicate on the pupil’s progress, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse data and experience of coordinating or delivering targeted interventions in response to this analysis
  • Experience of leading or managing support staff

Hours of work

This is a permanent term time plus 3 inset days position, 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 4:15pm.
