We are seeking an inspirational Head of Mathematics to lead our rapidly improving Maths department and drive exceptional outcomes for all learners. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and skilled practitioner to shape the strategic direction of the subject, foster a culture of excellence, and support a dedicated team in delivering outstanding teaching and learning across all key stages.

This is an exciting time to join our great school: we are full and have been significantly oversubscribed in each Year 7 cohort for the last 3 years, we achieved our best ever results at 4+ and 5+ in English & Maths in summer 2025, we have excellent levels of staff retention, attendance and our reputation with families and in the community is very strong, reflecting the great reputation that our school has developed over the last 7 years.

You would be joining a thriving and passionate department, with a diverse range of academic interests and expertise.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified professional who is both passionate and knowledgeable to lead our excellent Mathematics Faculty for one year or until the post holder returns from maternity leave, whichever is sooner. The successful candidate will need the drive, expertise, and inspirational attributes to shape the work and future development of the faculty.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to inspire and lead staff effectively

• Can think strategically and provide high quality leadership and management

• Is able to demonstrate a high standard of subject knowledge

• Can deliver a high-quality curriculum and high standards of teaching across the faculty

• Nurtures a passion for studying Mathematics at all levels of ability

• Ensures students achieve their full potential

• Will build positive relationships with both students, staff and parents


As part of our school’s strategic development, we will also be advertising a number of internal Associate Assistant Headteacher roles to support our key priorities in 2026-27. The successful applicant would be able to apply for these roles should they wish to. This could be discussed in more detail at interview.
