Axe Valley is a wonderful school to work in, with brilliant students who deserve the best from staff. We are proud of our recent Ofsted Good judgement but have the vision to drive for even greater things in the future. Axe Valley is well respected in the local community. We have higher than national average numbers of students on the SEND register as a result of a strong SEND provision and we pride ourselves on the high standards of behaviour that are in place across the school. The success of vulnerable students is at the heart of our self evaluation. We are excited to continue to improve and are looking for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about improving the life chances of vulnerable students.
One of the twelve schools within the Blackdown Education Partnership, Axe Valley currently has approximately 750 students in Years 7–11. The Academy is located in East Devon, in the beautiful market town of Axminster, which is set on the River Axe. Axminster is just a few miles inland from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and has excellent rail links to London and Exeter.
