Nursery Deputy Manager

Full Time -  Immediate start, or as soon as mutually agreed

Wellesley Park Primary School in Wellington is home to 300 children, including those attending our on-site Nursery provision

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Manager to join our dedicated Explorers Nursery team at Wellesley Park Primary School. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our expanding Early Years provision. As Deputy Manager, you will contribute to the strategic development of a nurturing, high-quality learning environment designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and outstanding outcomes for our youngest learners. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and wider school leadership to ensure excellence in EYFS practice, provision, and pedagogy.

Our Explorers Nursery is open five days a week, all year round, and caters for children aged 9 months to 4 years.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced early years professional to make a lasting impact in a thriving and forward-thinking educational environment.

A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent) is essential for this role.

We are looking for:

• A dedicated, hardworking Deputy Manager who is able to raise and sustain high standards

• An individual with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

• A Deputy Manager who can enthuse, inspire, and engage children, fostering a love of learning through high-quality interactions.

• A collaborative team member who is committed to sharing best practice and learning from others to continually improve provision.

• Someone who will work alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the nursery and the delivery of a high-quality education for children aged 9 months to 5 years.

The post is for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 6pm all year. The salary scale is Grade 13 on the School Support Staff Pay Scale £25,989 to £28,142 per annum. The Employer pension contributions.
