Pay Grade: NJC Point 4 – 6 (FTE £19,264 - £20,043)
Starting Salary: £11,667 NJC Point 4
Hours of Work: 25 hours per week; 41 weeks pa (Term-time plus 5 INSET days, 2
weeks during the summer holidays)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Administrative
Assistant to join our busy Business Support office at Uffculme School. You will be
part of our Business Support Team, delivering HR and Finance services to Uffculme
School and Uffculme Primary.
You will be supporting the work of the two Administrators and the School Business
Manager. The role is varied and includes placing orders with suppliers, responding
to emails, administering the school’s cashless payment system and dealing with
general queries. You will also have the opportunity to assist with HR processes
including preparing interview packs and undertaking pre-employment checks for
successful candidates. You will be a key person to respond to general queries from
staff and parents and will be expected to provide a positive and welcoming response.
We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, enthusiastic and confident in
communicating effectively with a wide range of people. You will play an instrumental
role in the day to day running of the Business Support Office as well as providing
support to the Administrators. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in
developing a career in administration.
You should have excellent communication skills, be flexible, adaptable and be able to
prioritise tasks. The role will require both independent working and the ability to be
a team player.
While previous school administration experience is not essential, candidates should
be experienced in working in a busy professional office environment. You should be
proficient and confident with ICT. An up to date knowledge of Microsoft systems
including Teams would be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the
successful candidate.
The role is based at Uffculme School and is typically 5 hours a day, 5 days a week;
start times can be flexible and a working pattern will be agreed with the post-holder
on appointment.
